Week 9 Girls Lacrosse Rankings

In Division 1, No. 1 Cambridge defeated Centennial 18-1 this past week to advance to 11-2 on the season. The Lady Bears will be idle during spring break before facing Creekview and South Forsyth. No. 2 Fellowship Christian defeated Westminster in a high-scoring affair, 20-11. The Lady Paladins will face Blessed Trinity in a high-stakes battle in a few weeks. No. 3 Wesleyan defeated Pace Academy 12-7 this past week. Mount Paran and Blessed Trinity round out the top five. Despite the six losses, Blessed Trinity has a head-to-head win over St. Pius X and other top-10 teams.

In Division 2, No. 1 Milton went 1-1 this past week, losing a close battle to Our Lady of Good Counsel (MD), 10-8. The Lady Eagles picked up a win over Potomac School (VA), 7-6. The Lady Eagles remain the top team until proven otherwise. Milton will face Division 3 No. 4 ranked North Gwinnett in a few weeks. No. 2 Lassiter is playing some of its best lacrosse at the moment and is on a five-game winning streak. The Lady Trojans picked up a quality 19-11 win over No. 5 Pope this week. No. 3 Johns Creek fell to Roswell 12-11 this past week. No. 4 Chattahoochee went 2-0 last week, defeating Buford 11-10 and Mount Pisgah Christian 20-2. No. 5 Pope lost to Lassiter 19-11 but has won five of its last seven games. Lakeside-Evans, Decatur, McIntosh, Chamblee, and Greenbrier round out the poll. No. 7 Decatur is on a current four-game winning streak and picked up a quality 14-6 win over Brookwood this past week.

In Division 3, No. 1 West Forsyth was idle again last week but has a top-five matchup against No. 5 Lambert on Friday. No. 2 Walton and No. 3 Cherokee were idle as well last week. No. 4 North Gwinnett defeated Dacula 23-2 this past Thursday. No. 5 Lambert was idle last week but will face a tough stretch of games over the next few weeks with Division 1 No. 3 Wesleyan, Division 3 No. 1 West Forsyth, and Division 3 No. 4 North Gwinnett all on the docket. Campbell, Brookwood, Alpharetta, Marietta, and Carrollton round out the poll. Harrison drops out of the top 10, while Carrollton joins the poll.
