In Class 6A, No. 1 ranked Grayson picked up a 72-56 win over Newton and improved to 15-1. The Rams have won six-straight since their out-of-state loss to Christopher Columbus (FL) and are currently ranked No. 6 nationally in the latest MaxPreps National poll. No. 2 Wheeler is 13-3 and its only losses were to the same Christopher Columbus team that defeated Grayson, a loss to Brewster Academy National and a 77-68 loss to Grayson back on Dec. 7.
Newton remains No. 3 over No. 4 McEachern due to its previous 62-60 win over the Indians. Buford and Meadowcreek returned to the poll in place of Norcross and Grovetown. New Manchester moved up to No. 9 after defeating South Paulding 61-60 and Alexander dropped one spot to No. 10 after a 57-46 loss to Lithia Springs.
In Class 4A, No. 1 ranked Pace Academy defeated Maynard Jackson 78-65. Central-Carroll used a 62-57 win over Jonesboro to climb up to No. 8 and Jonesboro slid down to No. 9. In Class 3A, No. 2 Cross Creek scored a 66-34 win over Westside-Augusta and sent the Patriots down to No. 10 after the loss. Sumter County replaced Laney at No. 10 in Class 2A and Tattnall County moved up two spots to No. 5 after recent wins over Woodville-Tompkins and Toombs County that improved its record to 13-2. In Class A Division II, McIntosh County Academy moved up to No. 1 after serving previously No. 1 ranked Savannah a 48-47 loss. Additionally, Macon County moved up to No. 6 after defeating No. 7 Taylor County 70-69. In Class A-3A Private, Mt. Bethel moved up following a 74-69 win over Mt. Paran to No. 5 and Calvary Day slid to No. 6 after dropping a 67-62 loss to Class 4A Benedictine. Walker improved to 12-3 and replaced King’s Ridge Christian at No. 10
