Week 8 Girls Basketball Rankings

North Forsyth tops Class 6A remaining unbeaten and picked up a 68-42 win defeating Arlington (TN) behind London Weaver’s career high 36 points. North Paulding, Grayson, Newton, and Campbell round out the top five. Archer, Carrollton, Cherokee, Lowndes and Buford round out the top ten.

In Class 5A, Hughes leads the poll and defeated No. 2 North Paulding 45-38. River Ridge, Woodward Academy, Milton, and Morrow round out the top five. Tri-Cities, Bradwell Institute, Creekview, Pope, and Arabia Mountain round out the top 10.

In Class 4A, Creekside remains the top team and is unbeaten through 14 games. Marist, Warner Robins, Kell, Jackson-Atlanta round out the top five. North Oconee, Midtown, Ware County, Jones County, Stockbridge round out the top 10.

In Class 3A, No. 1 Pickens jumps up after defeating No. 7 White County. Baldwin, Jefferson, Luella, and Oconee County round out the top five. Fayette County, White County, Sandy Creek, Cherokee Bluff, and Dawson County round out the top five.

In Class 2A, Josey is the top team and has played a strenuous schedule so far. Thomson, Butler, Murray County, and Hardaway round out the top five. Sonoraville, Ringgold, Columbia, Union County, and Coahulla Creek round out the top 10.

In Class A Div I, Elbert County sits at the top with a 14-0 record. Fannin County, Model, Central-Macon, and Lamar County round out the top five. No. 6 Washington County, Putnam County, Bleckley County, Temple, and East Laurens round out the top 10.

In Class A Div II, Taylor sits at the top as one of the lone undefeated teams at a 10-0 record. Bryan County, Wilcox County, Early County, and Telfair County round out the top five. Macon County, Seminole County, Screven County, Randolph-Clay, and Brooks County round out the top 10.

In Class A-3A Private, Hebron Christian sits at the top at 13-1. No. 2 St. Francis sits right behind the Lady Lion and has put together an impressive season thus far. Mount Paran, Southwest Atlanta Christian, and Holy Innocents round out the top five. Greenforest Christian, Galloway, Greater Atlanta Christian, Athens Academy, and Whitefield Academy rounds out the top 10.
