In Class AAAAAAA, No. 1 Colquitt County defeated Grayson 26-14 and sent the Rams down to No. 5. Parkview improved to 4-0 with a 37-35 win over Milton and jumped to No. 3. Archer toppled Class AAAAA Buford 48-24 and took over No. 4. Undefeated Wheeler (5-0) debuts at No. 9 after defeating Roswell 37-36 in its latest victory.
In Class AAAAAA, Lee County holds the top-spot again following its off-week. Coffee defeated Chamblee 53-0 to protect its No. 2 spot. Third-ranked Harrison beat Dalton 38-17 led by Micah Davis’ six receptions for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Sequoyah and Creekview each rested last week.
In Class AAAAA, Buford’s loss to Archer wasn’t enough to knock the Wolves down and they remain No. 2. Stockbridge remains No. 3 and Jones County replaces Carrollton at No. 4.
Troup took over No. 3 in Class AAAA and St. Pius jumped Cartersville for No. 4 after the Purple Hurricanes’ narrow 21-20 win over Cedartown on Friday.
Class AAA remained the same as all the teams who were active won big. Top-ranked Calhoun beat Ringgold (49-7), No. 2 Cedar Grove defeated Lovett (45-0), Monroe Area beat Morgan County (39-0), Westminster beat Towers (35-14) and Peach County handled Kendrick (49-0).
In Class AA, top-ranked Hapeville Charter beat McNair 63-0 to protect its rank. Callaway also shutout its opponent (Temple, 49-0) and is in the second spot this week. Thomasville, Bremen and Rockmart round out the top-5.
ELCA’s 61-0 victory over Trinity Christian was fueled by Keaton Mitchell’s four touchdowns on 11 carries. No. 2 Athens Academy beat Towns 46-8. No. 3 Prince Avenue Christian handled Riverside Military 56-6. Calvary Day and Savannah Country Day are third and fourth this week, respectively.
In Class A-Public, Schley County and Mitchell County replaced Manchester and Turner County in the poll.
