In Class 6A, No. 1 ranked Etowah improved to 14-1 and has won six-straight since its 8-4 loss to North Paulding. The Eagles won that series 2-to-3. No. 2 Walton bounced back from a 4-3 loss to Cherokee by defeating the Warriors in Friday’s double-header and taking the series 2-to-3. The Raiders are 14-3 on the season. No. 3 Parkview improved to 10-3 and picked up its fourth-straight win, while improving to 3-0 in Region 7. Tift County lost two-of-three to Richmond Hill and exited the poll and East Coweta (13-2) replaced the Blue Devils to debut at No. 9.
In Class 5A, No. 1 Houston County grew its win-streak to 7-straight and No. 2 Pope won its sixth-straight. No. 3 Dunwoody has won 14-straight since its 9-2 loss to St. Pius in its season opener and No. 4 Loganville has won five-straight to improve to 9-3. Villa Rica, Lassiter and Effingham County each moved up one spot after Winder-Barrow slid to No. 8 and South Paulding replaced Greenbrier after a 13-2 start.
In Class 4A, undefeated Central-Carroll moved up to No. 9 this week and No. 6 Starr’s Mill picked up its 11th-straight win after an 0-3 start. Class 3A saw Oconee County replace Pickens at No. 2 after Pickens dropped two-of-three to North Hall. In Class 2A, Rockmart climbed to No. 3 and Model moved up to No. 4 in Class A Div. I.
In Class A Div. II, No. 1 Lanier County took two-of-three from No. 3 ranked Irwin County. Crawford County swept Schley County and replaced the Bobcats at No. 7 this week. Class A-3A Private No. 1 Prince Avenue Christian used a 17-0 win over North Cobb Christian to improve to 12-2 and solidify its status at the top of the poll.
