Week 6 Baseball Rankings

There was a shakeup at the top Class AAAAAAA, as Mill Creek moves from fourth to first after a perfect week and losses by previous No. 3 North Gwinnett (Peachtree Ridge) and previous No. 1 Parkview (Mountain View). Walton also dropped from third to 10th after losing two of three to unranked Etowah. In Class AAAAAA, the top six remain the same, but Gainesville and Northgate drop out of the rankings and Brunswick (No. 8) and Greenbrier (No. 9) enter the poll. A Friday loss to Flowery Branch by Loganville let Wayne County take over at No., and Buford fell from No. 4 to No. 6 after a loss to an under-.500 Marist team.

Class AAAA No. 4 Troup County dropped from No. 2 after a 5-0 loss to Cartersville, which moves from third to second. West Laurens (No. 9) and Jefferson (No. 10) enter the rankings this week. Ringgold remains on top of Class AAA as Redan falls from No. 2 to No. 6 after region losses to Pace Academy and Westminster. Thomasville took two out of three from Berrien last week to remain No. 1, but Benedictine is just behind as the No. 2 in Class AA. Gordon Lee stays at No. 1 after splitting with Trion last week, and Commerce (No. 9) and Trion (No. 10). In Class A-Private, Tattnall Square is at No. 1 after a big week and a half in which it defeated Class AAAAA Locust Grove twice and took two games from previous No. 4 First Presbyterian.
