In Class 7A, Lambert moved up a slot to No. 3 following Forsyth Central’s 2-1 loss to North Cobb. The Warriors cracked the poll at No. 9 following their win over Forsyth Central—which now sits at No. 7. North Gwinnett left the top 10 as a result of North Cobb’s entry and Harrison remains at No. 10. Top-ranked Buford is 16-1 and has won 10-straight matches following its lone loss to St. Pius and leads the Class 6A top 10. No. 2 Sequoyah is also on an outstanding win streak and is 25-1 with 15-straight wins. Sequoyah’s only loss was to No. 3 Pope—which recently scored victories over No. 6 Lassiter and No. 8 Allatoona. Creekview climbed to No. 4 ahead of No. 5 Kennesaw Mountain and Dacula replaced Richmond Hill in the poll and debuts at No. 9.
In Class 5A, Greenbrier moved up to No. 3 and is 17-1 on the season without a single in-state loss. Class 4A saw No. 1 Northwest Whitfield defeat No. 2 Heritage-Catoosa 2-0 (25-16, 28-26) on Sept. 8 and No. 5 Jefferson will face No. 7 Flowery Branch this Tuesday.
Class 3A and Class 2A/A Public did not see any shifts this week and Athens Christian ascended to No. 1 in the Class A Private poll. Also, Brookstone jumped from No. 9 to No. 6 and Mt. Vernon makes its debut at No. 7.
