Walton still holds the top spot in the state’s largest classification with a new No. 2, North Forsyth, in the mix. Lambert, previously No. 2, fell to No. 7. Last week’s No. 9, Etowah, made a climb to third after a solid week. Newnan, previously third, fell to No. 4, and Mill Creek stays in the No. 5 spot. Kennesaw Mountain improved from No. 8 to No. 6 in the poll as Parkview, previous No. 6, fell out of the Top 10. North Gwinnett (No. 9) and Mountain View (No. 10) enter the Top 10 after Parkview and Duluth fell to unranked.
Pope overtook Alpharetta as the No. 1 team in Class AAAAAA. Alpharetta settles at No. 2 as Allatoona stays in the No. 3 spot. Greenbrier, previously No. 7, moved into the Top 5 at No. 4 as Harrison slid to No. 5. Effingham County debuts in the rankings at the No. 6 spot with Northgate falling from No. 5 to No. 7.
Buford is still in the driver’s seat of Class AAAAA with Loganville in the No. 2 spot. Villa Rica, previously No. 5 moved up to third and Riverwood moved from No. 6 to No. 4. McIntosh, previously No. 4, rounds out the Top 5 at No. 5.
In Class AAAA, Marist continued its climb from No. 8 to No. 2, but Blessed Trinity is still in the No. 1 spot. North Oconee moved from No. 4 to No. 3 this week with Northwest Whitfield moving from No. 7 to No. 4. St. Pius X rounds out the Top 5 after falling from the No. 3 spot.
Fannin County is No. 1 in Class AAAA with East Jackson in the No. 2 spot. North Hall climbed from No. 5 to No. 3 with East Hall in the No. 4 spot. Previously No. 3, Pace Academy settled in the No. 5 spot. Savannah Arts continued its climb from No. 9 to No. 6 with Southeast Bulloch entering the fray at No. 7.
Coosa is still in control of Class AA with St. Vincent’s just behind in the No. 2 spot. Armuchee climbed from No. 9 to No. 3 as Harlem and Pepperell stayed in the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, respectively.
With previous No. 1 Calvary Day sliding to third, Hebron Christian is now the top-ranked team in Class A. Athens Academy, previously third, is in the No. 2 spot. Lakeview Academy, previously fifth, fell to unranked as Tallulah Falls moved from No. 6 to No. 5. Mount Paran enters the Top 10 at sixth with Fellowship Christian falling from No. 2 to No. 7.
