In the state’s highest classification, East Coweta is still the team to beat after victories over Hillgrove 12-1 and Heard County 11-2. Mill Creek fell from No. 2 to No. 5 this week. Grayson moved from No. 3 to No. 2 after a 3-0 victory at Dacula on Wednesday. North Gwinnett climbed up two spots to No. 3 this week and Lassiter fell from No. 4 to No. 7. Marietta enters the rankings at No. 4 and have outscored the competition 47-8. The Blue Devils are 4-0. Lowndes and Archer each fell a spot to No. 7 and No. 8, respectively. South Forsyth enters the rankings at No. 10. Brookwood, previously No. 10, climbed up to No. 8. Collins Hill fell from No. 9 to unranked.
Pope leads Class AAAAAA after a 9-4 victory over former No. 1 Harrison on Wednesday. The Hoyas fell to No. 2 ahead of Houston County at No. 3. River Ridge, previously unranked, enters the rankings at No. 4 after beating No. 5 Dalton 8-0 and No. 4 Allatoona 5-0 last week. Allatoona and Dalton fall to No. 7 and No. 8, respectively. South Paulding, previously unranked, debuts at No. 5 ahead of No. 6 Creekview. Cambridge enters the top-10 at No. 9 ahead of No. 10 Lee County.
Locust Grove remains the team to beat in Class AAAAA ahead of South Effingham. Harris County is No. 3 this week just in from of former No. 2 Bainbridge, which fell to fourth after a loss to Colquitt County 6-1 last week. Jones County remains No. 5 in this week’s poll. Carrollton, previously No. 8, climbed to No. 6 ahead of Whitewater, which debuts at No. 7 this week. Union Grove climbed from No. 9 to No. 8 with Buford and Statesboro rounding out the top 10.
In Class AAAA, Heritage-Catoosa remains at the top after its 5-1 victory over Ringgold on Thursday. Northside-Columbus holds the No. 2 spot for the second week ahead of No. 3 Marist. White County debuts at No. 4 this week after victories over Lumpkin County, Rabun County, North Hall and Gainesville. Blessed Trinity enters the rankings at No. 5 after victories over Alpharetta, Chattahoochee and Riverwood last week.
Jefferson remains the team to beat in Class AAA ahead of new No. 2 Brantley County, which climbed from No. 5 this week. Franklin County, previously ranked No. 2, fell to No. 7 after it lost to East Hall, Jackson County and Harlem. Coahulla Creek moved up three spots to No. 3 this week ahead of No. 4 Calhoun and new No. 5 Jackson.
Banks County leads Class AA this week after it overtook former No. 1 Social Circle which fell to No. 2. Harlem is up from No. 5 to No. 3 this week ahead of No. 4 Monticello. Dodge County slid from No. 4 to No. 5 to round out the top 5. In Class A-Public, Gordon Lee is the team to beat again this week ahead of Bowdon, Trion, Schley and Lanier County. ACE Charter enters the standings at No. 6 ahead of No. 7 Commerce and No. 8 Marion County. Georgia Military is No. 9 again this week ahead of a new No. 10 Pelham. In Class A-Private, Wesleyan leads the standings ahead of Tattnall Square. Mount de Sales is No. 3 and leads No. 4 Mount Paran Christian and No. 5 Strong Rock.
