In 6A, Buford moved up once again to claim the No. 2 spot. The other big mover in 6A was Brookwood, which climbed to No. 8 after starting 4-0.
Two teams make their debut in the 5A rankings: Habersham Central at No. 9 and Chamblee at No. 10. Additionally, McIntosh fell to No. 6 after two straight losses.
In 4A, Blessed Trinity made a big jump into the rankings, going from unranked to No. 6 after a strong 4-0 start. Along with them, Northside-Columbus moved up to No. 5 after starting 3-0.
In 3A, Dawson County is making waves in the mountains and moved up from No. 4 to No. 2 after starting 3-1. At the bottom of the rankings, Upson-Lee and Harlem make their debuts at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively.
Columbus remains the No. 1 team in 2A; however, former No. 2 Pierce County wasn’t as fortunate, falling all the way to No. 10 after a 1-3 start. The biggest mover in the class was Rutland, which jumped from No. 10 to No. 6 after a strong 4-1 start.
Jeff Davis has made a big impression early in the season in Class A-Division I. The Yellow Jackets have started 4-0 and have entered the rankings at No. 4 this week, with key victories against Toombs County and Fitzgerald.
Trion is making its debut in the Class A-Division II rankings at No. 6 after a 3-0 start. On the other side, Metter has fallen out of the rankings after a 1-3 start to the season.
There was some shake-up in the A-3A private rankings. Lovett dropped from No. 2 to No. 4 after a loss to Buford. Meanwhile, Savannah Arts moved up from No. 9 to No. 5 after a dominant 5-0 start. The biggest fall came from Mt. Paran, which dropped to No. 10 after losing its first game of the season.
