In Class 7A, Mill Creek moved up a slot to No. 3 and Walton moved up four spots to No. 5 after its 34-20 win over Brookwood. Carrollton moved up a slot to No 7 and Brookwood fell from No. 5 to No. 8. The Class 6A poll saw Gainesville move up two spots to No. 5 and that sent Woodward Academy down to No. 6 and Blessed Trinity down to No. 7.
Ware County improved two slots to No. 4 in Class 5A and Jefferson and Dutchtown replaced Clarke Central and Cambridge in the poll. Jefferson debuts at No. 8 and Dutchtown comes in at No. 9. In Class 4A, Troup moved up to No. 4 after its win over Hardaway this past Thursday and Bainbridge jumped three spots to No. 5. Additionally, LaGrange makes its debut at No. 9 after its 2-0 start and the Grangers are averaging 52.5 ppg offensively.
Savannah Christian enters the top 10 of Class 3A after a 69-6 victory over Islands. Cedar Grove tops the class with Carver-Atlanta, Carver-Columbus, Sandy Creek and Calvary Day in the top 5. Athens Academy climbed into the Class 2A top 10 at No. 10 this week. Fitzgerald tops the class with Appling County, Pierce County, ELCA and Rockmart in the top 5.
In Class A Division I, Mount Pisgah entered the top 10 at No. 10. Brooks County, Rabun County, Prince Avenue, Swainsboro and Irwin County fill the top 5. In Class A Division II, Aquinas entered the top 10 at No. 10 following Wheeler County’s departure. Schley County, Macon County, Charlton County, Clinch County and Wilcox County fill the top 5.
