Week 10 Football Rankings

In Class 6A, Douglas County rose to No. 4 in the poll after Valdosta’s 35-14 loss to Richmond Hill. Valdosta dropped all the way to No. 10 and Richmond Hill debuts at No. 9. No. 1 Milton had an idle week. No. 2 Lee County kept rolling after a 67-10 win over Veterans. No. 3 Hughes shutout Northgate in a 46-0 victory on Friday. No. 4 Thomas County Central has surpassed 60 points in three of its last four games and produced its first shutout of the season over Northside-Warner Robins. No. 5 Coffee shut down a prolific offense and handed No. 9 Houston County its second loss of the season in a 14-0 victory. No. 6 Gainesville got back to its winning ways in a 55-26 win over Chattahoochee. No. 7 Roswell won a shootout against Lanier in a 59-42 victory. No. 8 Decatur advanced to 8-0 after a 31-0 victory over Lakeside-Dekalb. No. 10 Rome picked up another region win this week against South Paulding.

No. 1 Sandy Creek battled in a close contest against Whitewater who gave them a game. The Patriots pulled out the 28-21 victory and remained undefeated. No. 2 Peach County picked up its third region win defeating Bainbridge 45-14. No. 3 Jefferson moved up in the poll after enjoying an idle week. No. 4 Westover improved to 7-1 after a 16-7 victory over Monroe. No. 5 LaGrange put up 49 points against a tough Troup County defense and improved to 7-2. No. 6 Cherokee Bluff picked up a signature win against Oconee County in a tight contest. No. 7 Douglass-Atlanta has rattled off five consecutive victories and looks like a dangerous team. No. 8 Long County fell to unranked Jenkins in an 18-17 loss. No. 9 Calhoun defeated Gilmer 20-6. No. 10 Northwest Whitfield beat a good Adairsville team 38-14.

No. 1 Toombs County started off their region schedule 1-0 after a 31-21 victory over Savannah Country Day. No. 2 Dublin keeps rolling after a 48-17 victory over Bleckley County. No. 3 Fannin County held Armuchee to its second-lowest scoring total of the season in a 56-6 win. No. 4 Dodge County has eclipsed 40 points for the fourth time this season after a 43-6 win over Jefferson County. No. 5 Lamar County won by three scores and held Putnam County to just three points. No. 6 Northeast shutout Central-Macon in a 39-0 victory. No.7 Thomasville continues to look impressive and shutout Brantley County in a 62-0 victory. No. 8 Fitzgerald picked up a 56-7 win over Berrien. No. 9 Commerce improved to 5-3 in a 55-13 win over Oglethorpe County. No. 10 Rabun County had an idle week.

There is a new No. 1 in the poll for the third time this season in Class A Div II after another major upset took place this past week. No. 1 Manchester had an idle week but moved into the top spot. No. 2 Bowdon also had an idle week. No. 3 Greene County has its highest ranking of the season after a 28-21 victory over Washington-Wilkes. No. 4 Lincoln County held Lake Oconee Academy to just three points in a 34-3 win. Give a ton of credit to No. 5 Brooks County also has its highest ranking in the Score Atlanta poll after a 39-13 win over Lanier. No. 6 Clinch County upset the previous #1 team Irwin County who is now No. 7 in the poll. No. 8 Metter struggled against McIntosh County Academy in a 12-6 victory. No. 9 Trion continues to roll after a 43-12 win over Greenville. No. 10 Jenkins County shutout Bryan County in a 34-0 victory.
