In Class AAAAAAA boys, the top 6 did not shift, but Archer made a jump from No. 10 to No. 7. The Tigers’ leap in the poll was the result of a narrow 59-57 loss to No. 3 Shiloh on Tuesday and their recent 65-57 win over Newton, which fell from No. 7 to No. 9. Archer will visit No. 1 Grayson on Thursday. This meeting comes after Grayson’s 60-55 win over the Tigers’ last month.
There was a lot of shakeup this week in Class AAAAAA. Sequoyah snapped South Cobb’s 17-game winning streak with a 67-56 win. Also former No. 1 Tri-Cities lost 72-56 to Hughes on Jan. 10. As a result, Tucker took over No. 1, South Cobb moved to No. 2 and Tri-Cities dropped to No. 3. Sequoyah’s win moved the Chiefs from No. 6 to No. 4 and Lanier dropped one spot to round out the top 5. Additionally, North Atlanta, Johns Creek, Chattahoochee and Effingham County were replaced in the poll by Hughes, Valdosta, Lee County and Evans.
In Class AAAAA, No. 4 Cedar Shoals defeated No. 8 Walnut Grove 61-59 on Tuesday and the top 10 did not experience any shifts this week. Sandy Creek moved up one slot to No. 3 in the Class AAAA poll, replacing Eastside. Also, Burke County debuts at No. 8 and St. Pius slid one spot to No. 9.
Windsor Forest moved up from No. 6 to No. 3 in the Class AAA poll. Also, Greater Atlanta Christian and Central-Macon replaced Beach and Long County at No. 9 and No. 10, respectfully. In Class AA, Dublin and Washington County replaced Hephzibah and Vidalia and round out the top 10 behind No. 8 Spencer.

The Westlake girls are at the top of Class AAAAAAA and is coming off a 70-36 victory over Campbell on Tuesday. Collins Hill moved up to No. 2 this week with Cherokee, West Forsyth and North Forsyth rounding out the top 5.
Lovejoy leads Class AAAAAA again with Valdosta, Dacula, Glynn Academy and Forest Park chasing. In Class AAAAA, Buford is still the team to beat and the Wolves are ahead of Kell, Veterans, Statesboro and Wayne County.
Americus-Sumter moved to the top of Class AAAA and send former No. 1 Carver-Columbus to No. 3. Woodward Academy moved up to No. 2 this week and No. 4 Spalding and No. 5 Troup round out the top of the class.
Johnson-Savannah leads Class AAA again this week ahead of Beach, Jefferson, Greater Atlanta Christian and Dawson County. Laney is the team to beat in Class AA after climbing up from No. 4 in last week’s poll. Rabun County, Early County, Union County and Southwest-Macon round out the top.
St. Francis tops Class A-Private again this week and it leads Hebron Christian, Wesleyan, Holy Innocents’ and Greenforest. In Class A-Public, Central-Talbotton takes the top spot with Wheeler County, formerly No. 1, falling to No. 2. Greenville, Calhoun County and Clinch finish out the top 5.
