Warner Robins Three-star DB Rasean Dinkins Commits To Georgia Tech

Warner Robins defensive star Rasean Dinkins committed to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets after taking an official visit this weekend. He becomes the fifth commitment to Georgia Tech’s 2025 class and the second player taken from Georgia.

Dinkins joins three-star DL Andre Victor as the only two defensive commitments in the Yellow Jackets class of 2025. Dinkins will join his former teammate Isiah Canion who played together this past season. Canion signed with the Yellow Jackets in the 2024 class and was one of the biggest signees for Georgia Tech. Dinkins also played with heavily sought after and USC commit Isaiah Gibson.

“Georgia Tech is a great environment. It’s around the city and also the players made me feel at home. I felt like I was already part of the team and the coaching staff has always stayed 100% honest and loyal to me,” said Dinkins to TTJH Sports.

According to 247Sports Composite, Dinkins is a three-star prospect, ranked as the No. 46 safety, the No. 59 player in Georgia, and the No. 564 player nationally. Dinkins helped lead Warner Robins to a 9-4 record, a region championship, and a quarterfinal finish in the postseason. Dinkins had his breakout season as a sophomore totaling 54 tackles, eight interceptions, four pass breakups, four fumble recovers, and two forced fumbles.

Dinkins had a great junior season and was selected first-team all-state by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and was named defensive player of the year for Region 2-5A by Georgia High School Football Daily. He is known for his hard-hitting ability and coming downhill in the box. Dinkins is also good in coverage and closing on the ball quickly causing deflections and turnovers.

Before committing, Dinkins held a total of 29 offers notably from Florida State, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi State, USC, Texas A&M, and more. He had official visits set up with Ole Miss and Mississippi State in June prior to his commitment. A major pickup for the Georgia Tech program and the first defensive back to be taken in this class.
