Volleyball Recruiting Blog: Chamblee’s Tsai, Westminster’s Jo are Ivy-League bound

Georgia’s top Class of 2025 standouts have completed their recruitment journeys and have signed with their future homes following the early and traditional signing periods. This year’s Gatorade Player of the Year—Abigail Li signed to continue her career at Georgia Tech and is one of the dozens of future collegiate athletes that trained and teamed up with the prestigious A5 Club Volleyball. There were 42 total A5 athletes in the Class of 2025 that have signed college scholarships and the destinations span across the country.

Chamblee’s Natalie Tsai signed with the University of Penn and will be heading to the Ivy League with Westminster’s star libero Sophia Jo—who has signed with Harvard. Jo was a team captain this past season for Westminster and completed her sterling career with 1,600 digs. This season, Jo had 425 digs in 100 sets played—resulting in a career-high 11.5 digs per match. As for Tsai, the Chamblee Bulldog will go down as one of the top athletes in school history before embarking on her collegiate journey with the Quakers.

Tsai surpassed the 2,000 career assists mark this past season and led DeKalb County in each of the last three seasons in multiple categories. Tsai has been in the Top 20 of the county stat categories of aces, kills, assists, blocks and digs 11 times during her first three season. Including first in assists (2021, 2023) and aces (2021-2023) while finishing second in digs (2021) and assists (2022) and Top 10 in three other categories. 2014 Gatorade Player of the Year, Paige McKnight of Dunwoody, finished her landmark career with 848 digs and Tsai etched her name in the annals of DeKalb history by finishing with 900 career digs.
