Jones comes from Walton High School where he served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for two seasons. In his short time in the Raider football program, Walton averaged over 42 points per game as well as over 450 yards per game. Walton was 24-2 during his tenure and now has his sights on a new opportunity with the Bears at Cambridge.
During the 2023 season, Coach Jones helped set region records at Walton as his offense averaged 450 yards per game and over 47 points per game, a 7A record. Coach Jones’ record-setting offense helped the Raiders finish 14-1 last season and were 2023 state runners-up in the 7A region.
Before becoming the offensive coordinator at Walton, Jones was with River Ridge and Wheeler where he served the same role. In his time with River Ridge, Jones set every offensive record for the school in just three seasons. Jones is looking to add his expertise to the Cambridge team that averaged just over 21 points last season and finished 6-5 on the season.
