Brett Favre faced his old team last night at the home of his new team and Vikings fans are glad he jumped from division rival Green Bay to Minnesota by way of New York. Favre led the Vikings to a 30-23 win to improve to 4-0 on the season. The former Packer roasted his former squad to the tune of 24-31 for 271yardswith three TDs and no interceptions. Adrian Peterson was bottled up for just 55 yards on 25 carries but he did find the end zone once to help the Vikings race out to a 21-14 halftime lead. Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz revealed yesterday that QB Matt Stafford had completed medical testing and is listed as day-to-day with regards to his knee injury. Stafford was sacked five times Sunday, the final one knocking him from the game with what was believed to be a dislocated kneecap. Stafford had an MRI and told reporters that while he’d have to get medically cleared he thinks he could go on Sunday against Pittsburgh.

The Detroit Tigers head to Minnesota today for a one-game playoff for the AL Central division title, a crown that the Tigers seemingly had wrapped up entering the final week of the season. Rick Porcello, just 20-years-old will start for Detroit as the Tigers look to return to the playoffs after bottoming out and missing the playoffs last season. For the Twins, it will be the second straight one-game playoff to wrap up a season, and the Twins will counter Porcello with Scott Baker.

Finally, in day 10 of Tebow-watch, Florida Gators QB Tim Tebow is showing no aftereffects from his concussion suffered against Kentucky but doctors have not cleared the Gator to practice.
