The football team took a week off from destroying its competition, getting a bye last week. Jess Simpson’s team will take the field again this week when it travels to Decatur to take on the Bulldogs Friday evening. … The softball team had yet another great week, going undefeated in seven games. The week was highlighted by three victories en route to claiming the Platinum Division title in the Brookwood Invitational Tournament held last Saturday. The Lady Wolves shut out Parkview 5-0 in their early game, beat St. Pius X 7-2 in their second game and won a tough 3-2 game against North Gwinnett in the finale. The team’s record now stands at a very impressive 20-2-1 with the tie coming last week against Brookwood in a 2-2 game. The team now awaits the Region 6-AA Tournament, which begins on Oct. 1. The Wolves will finish their region schedule this week on Sept. 25 against Westminster. … The volleyball team lost 2-0 (25-16, 25-14) to Greater Atlanta Christian last Saturday. The team has matches with Dacula and Brookwood this Thursday.
