With AAU basketball in full swing, let’s take a look at some of the top recruits in the 2026 class for girls in the state of Georgia, per ESPN.
Marist, G, Kate Harpring- She comes from a rich lineage of athletes in her family, including her father Matt Harpring, who enjoyed an 11-year NBA career and is a Georgia Tech legend. Harpring is a 5-star prospect on most of the recruiting sites, and ESPN is no different. She has a 97-overall grade and is rated as the No. 2 prospect in the country. She was recently invited to the USA Women’s Jr. National Team Minicamp and was a standout player there.
Harpring already has a decorated prep career, eclipsing 2,000 points before suiting up for her senior year. Back in February, she broke her Dad’s 30-year record, dropping 49 points in a region game back in February. She was also named Gatorade Girls Player of the Year for Georgia. She led Marist to its second state championship in program history in 2024.
She has every major offer one could want, with a plethora of colleges calling and trying to land her. In terms of her visits, she has been to UCLA, Iowa, and South Carolina. She also has an NIL deal in place with the popular Leaf Trading Cards which specialize in customizable cards for athletes ranging from high school, college, and even professional sports.
Harpring has the makings to be the next star in women’s college basketball, captivating the sport and becoming a national name known everywhere. Yes, she is that good.
Mill Creek, W, Isabella Ragone- Ragone is another outstanding player here in Georgia and was also a part of the USA April minicamp a few days ago. She turned some heads and put up numbers this season for the Lady Hawks, being named First-Team All-State after finishing with 23.2 points per game and 11.1 rebounds per game. She was also named Region Co-Player of the Year, Atlanta Tip-Off Club All-Metro Second Team, Gwinnett County Tip-Off Club All-County Team, and was named Naismith All-American this past season.
She plays her AAU ball alongside Harpring for the Southeast All-Stars, which is one of the better teams in the AAU circuit. According to 247Sports composite, she is rated as the No. 2 player in Georgia, No. 6 SF, and the No. 24 player nationally. She has offers from notable programs including Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Iowa, Notre Dame, and more. Ragone recently took an official visit to Louisville back in March. In the same month, she also visited North Carolina.
Ragone is a standout player who has made quite a name for herself on the hardwood and is one of the best prospects in the country. She is special and has a bright future ahead.
Hebron Christian, PF, Gabby Minus- What makes Minus a special player is her ability to play multiple positions. She has incredible footwork that allows her to dominate the competition and get anywhere she wants in the lane. She also has a great mid-range game and the ability to put the ball on the deck and get a bucket. She won a state championship last season with Hebron Christian, completing a 32-2 season and a Throne National Championship.
ESPN has her rated as a 4-star prospect with a 93-overall grade. In terms of her recruitment, Minus took some unofficial visits to Alabama, Clemson, Virginia, Florida, Wake Forest, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, and Virginia Tech. On3’s Talia Goodman has more on how her visits went back in January.

She unfortunately suffered a season-ending injury in late December that sidelined her for the rest of the season and during Hebron Christian’s pursuit of a state title. The Lady Lions finished one game short of becoming back-to-back state champions. Minus will be one to watch to see how she recovers from the injury and how she will play moving forward. She is another top-end prospect, but injuries can be tough to come back from. However, Minus has a work ethic like no other and it will be a matter of time before she is playing high-end basketball again. Her recruitment is fully open and will be one to watch as we enter the summer and beyond.
