The Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Flag Classic returns for the second season in a row as premiere flag football programs from around the state will travel to West Forsyth High School on Monday, September 29th and compete against one another for the second-straight season.

This year’s field of teams consists of successful programs from around the state that have played in big games throughout their program’s existence and will continue to do so at this year’s Corky Kell Dave Hunter Flag Classic. Out of the four state champions from a year ago, three will be beginning their season at the 2025 Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Flag Classic.

This year’s schedule consists of Harris County against Milton at 5 p.m. which will be followed by Greenbrier taking on Blessed Trinity at 6:15 p.m. The nightcap of the 2025 Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Flag Classic will feature 2024 Division 4 state champions, the McEachern Indians facing off against the Pace Academy Knights at 7:30 p.m. followed by the finale of 2024 Division 3 state champions, the Pope Greyhounds facing off against our hosts, the West Forsyth Wolverines at 8:45 p.m.

The 2025 Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Flag Classic will be held at West Forsyth High School for the second-straight season as they will also be a host site for the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic which they have been a part of since 2020.

The opener for this year’s Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Flag Classic features a pair of flag football programs looking to make it back to the big stage as Harris County and Milton square off to start the day. The Tigers are looking to make it back to the state championship for the first time since 2022 while the Eagles will be seeking another state championship appearance after falling in the finals in 2023. Harris County will be returning the connection of Pearson Pettit and Madalynn Cauley who connected on 90 receptions a season ago to go along with 1,188 yards and 16 touchdowns. Both Petit and Cauley are entering their senior seasons with the program. Cauley proved to be very reliable from her quarterback position, totaling 3,615 yards through the air, 58 passing touchdowns to go along with 1,222 yards on the ground and 18 rushing touchdowns and was a Ms. Georgia Finalist in the first year of the awards existence.  For Milton, the Eagles are coming off of a 22-5 record a season ago and are poised to remain competitive in 2025. Milton returns their two leading receivers, sophomore Caroline Marshall and junior Alana Calhoun as the two combined for 3,208 yards, 46 touchdowns on 201 receptions.

The second game of the day will be between the back-to-back Division 2 state champions, the Greenbrier Wolfpack who are coming off of an exceptional 21-1 record a season ago as they will face the Blessed Trinity Titans. The Wolfpack are led by Aaliyah Silver as she is one of the top returners on the 2025 team, recording 1,016 receiving yards as well as 21 touchdowns on 78 receptions on the year. The Wolfpack will have to find a new signal caller as quarterback Kenzie Horton will graduate this spring. On the opposing sideline, the Blessed Trinity Titans are seeking their first trip back to Mercedes-Benz Stadium after coming up just short in 2022. The Titans return plenty of production for this upcoming season, with quarterback Addie Spak returning to the squad after throwing for 3,388 yards and 45 touchdowns on a 68% completion rate. Spak will have her two leading receivers back from last season who both eclipsed 1,000 yards seasons a year ago. Maggie Sullivan and Hannah Daley combined for 2,407 yards and 30 touchdowns on 237 receptions on the season.

The nightcap of the second annual Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Flag Classic begins with the Pace Academy Knights taking on Jake Burgdorf and his McEachern Indians team coming off of the schools first-ever flag football state championship in 2024. The Knights are coming off of a 21-4 season where they went undefeated in Area 4-Division 3, with a perfect 7-0 record. McEachern will have to replace the inaugural Ms. Georgia recipient, Chelsea Njoku after she led the Indians to a perfect 29-0 record and a state championship. While they will have to replace one of the best players in the sport, the Indians are well-equipped to make another run at a second-straight title as Desirae Holley and Ava Couzens return to provide immediate offensive production. Holley and Couzens combined for 2,386 all-purpose yards to go along with 44 combined touchdowns as they will provide some familiarity on a new-look McEachern team.

The final game of this year’s Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Flag Classic will feature last season’s Division 4 state champions, the Pope Greyhounds, taking on the hosting West Forsyth Wolverines. Pope is coming off of a 26-2 season a year ago that ended in the school’s second-straight Division 3 state championship with a 19-6 victory over Pace Academy. By season’s end, the Greyhounds finished at No. 14 in the MaxPreps National Flag Football Rankings. For West Forsyth, the Wolverines are coming off of a 7-8 season where they improved in major areas from their 5-12 season two years ago. This year, West Forsyth will have to replace 13 graduating seniors as the upperclassmen-heavy Wolverines will be returning just nine players from last year’s team.

Each game of the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Flag Classic will be broadcast live on the Peachtree Sports Network and streamed digitally off of the Atlanta News First App and the National Federation High School Network as well as the CBS 24/7 streaming site, ZEAM.
