Keshun Hill does it all for Northside-Warner Robins. In Friday’s game against Flowery Branch, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound receiver/returner/running back accounted for three touchdowns, two on the ground and one through the air against a feisty 3-4 defense featuring one of the best cornerback duos in the state. Hill only posted a handful of carries, but rushed for nearly 100 yards and hauled in a difficult catch in traffic and scooting into the end zone for a score in Northside’s 45-7 victory. Clemson showed some early interest in Hill, but the Tigers have seemingly moved on. Hill will likely be a late addition to a team’s class, but someone would be wise to extend an offer to a playmaker that has experience in all three phases of the game, having served as a kick and punt returner last year and on the defense as a sophomore.
Hill was one of the few bright spots for Northside in the passing game against Flowery Branch’s secondary as Darius Curry and Noel Padmore played some intense defense in the secondary. Curry will follow his older brother to Oklahoma State next season, but Noel Padmore is the true talent in the secondary. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound standout chose Ole Miss over multiple offers including Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, Wake Forest and Pittsburgh.
Norcross’ Alvin Kamara will not doubt have his ears and eyes open on Sept. 28. On that day, Yulee (Fla.) running back Derrick Henry will announce his college decision between Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. Kamara is considered by many recruiting services to be the top running back prospect in the state of Georgia and could be a fallback option for the Georgia Bulldogs if they miss out on Henry. Kamara holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida and Maryland, among others.
Finally, Clemson running back pledge Tyshon Dye was held to just 74 yards in a 14-3 Elbert County loss to Buford Friday. The Wolves’ defense locked Dye down to just 34 yards in the first half.
