The top-seeded Collins Hill girls picked up their 25th straight win and earned a spot in the Class AAAAAAA quarterfinals with a dominant 76-35 win over visiting Archer. Five-star forward and University of Georgia signee Javyn Nicholson provided 19 points, 13 rebounds and a pair of blocks in the first half as Collins Hill went into the locker room with a comfortable 40-19 lead. She would finish with a game-high 25 points, 16 rebounds and seven blocks. Teammate Bria Harmon added 14 points of her 19 points in the first half and Jordan Releford finished with 13 points and seven rebounds.

Girls

Norcross 67, Grayson 53: Norcross led 25-9 at the end of the first quarter and took a comfortable 58-36 lead into the final frame. Yamani Paul led Norcross with 15 points and nine rebounds, while teammates Morgan Robinson-Nwagwu (12), Tionna Carter (12) and Mariah Baltierra (11) also notched double-figures. Freshman Catherine Alben (23) and sophomore Nadia Howard (16) led Grayson in scoring.

Roswell 64, McEachern 53: Roswell and McEachern played were tied 50-50 with 3:39 left, but the Hornets used a 14-3 run in the same span to serve the Indians their earliest playoff departure since the 2013 season. “We just got a little rattled, something we don’t normally do in this stage of the game,” McEachern coach Phyllis Arthur told the Marietta Daily Journal after the loss. “It was one of those things.” Kennedy Powell led Roswell with 17 points and Makala Torrence finished with 16.

Campbell 52, Colquitt County 45: Colquitt County led the visiting Spartans 13-12 at the end of the first quarter and went into the half tied 24-24. Campbell began to pull away midway through the third quarter and ultimately outscored the Packers 18-9 in the frame to take a 42-33 edge into the fourth. Colquitt opened the fourth quarter on an 8-3 run to make it 44-41 and also trailed 46-43, but Campbell was able to add its final six points on free-throws to close out the victory.

Westlake 92, Tift County 52: Defending state champion Westlake set a season high with their 92 points scored over No. 2 seed Tift County and improved to 28-0.

Rockdale County 43, Mill Creek 40: No. 2 seed Rockdale County and fourth-seeded Mill Creek got off to a slow start, but an eight-point effort by Alana Moore gave the host Bulldogs an 18-15 lead at the half. Mill Creek tied it up with under two minutes left and trailed 41-40 with 37.2 seconds left, but Rockdale County closed it out to punch the program’s first trip to the Elite 8 since 2004.

North Forsyth 59, Duluth 52: Duluth struggled in the opening quarter as North Forsyth grew its 11-4 lead. The seven-point margin stayed the same for the Raiders at the half (28-21) before a strong third quarter put North Forsyth up 45-32 entering the fourth.

Cherokee 69, Pebblebrook 63: Cherokee jumped out to a 35-20 halftime lead over visiting Pebblebrook, but would have to hold off a valiant comeback attempt before celebrating the program’s 19th consecutive victory. Pebblebrook outscored Cherokee 16-10 in the third quarter to cut it to single digits entering the fourth (45-36), and brought it within one (60-59) with 1:06 left, but the Warriors were able to close it out on a 9-4 run with clutch shooting from the foul line.

Boys

Norcross 68, Grayson 53: Brandon Boston Jr. paced Norcross with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Kyle Sturdivant (13) and Issa Mugammad (12) also finished in double-figures for the Blue Devils. Grayson was led by Deivon Smith’s 16-point, 10 rebound performance, a 12-point night by Reco Hallmon and Jevon Tatum’s nine-point effort. Norcross hosts No. 3 seed Roswell in the Elite 8 next, after the Hornets punched their ticket with a 65-54 win over Marietta.

McEachern 83, Cherokee 51: Top-ranked McEachern opened up a 19-11 lead after the first quarter and took a 45-24 lead into the half. McEachern poured on 25 points in the third quarter to grow the lead to 70-39 before closing out the win and improving to 29-0. The Indians will host Peachtree Ridge in the quarterfinals, which was a 73-66 winner over Archer.

Pebblebrook 63, Etowah 51: Pebblebrook used a 14-6 advantage in the second quarter to build a 28-18 halftime lead. Danny Stubbs led the Falcons with a game-high 24 points and teammate Derek Harden netted 10. Etowah’s Jaxon Etter scored 18 of his team-high 23 points in the second half.

Meadowcreek 69, Newton 57: Newton struggled with just 11 points in the first half off 3-of-19 shooting and trailed 20-11 before a more fast-paced second half for both teams. Damian Dunn led Meadowcreek with a game-high 24 points and Tyrease Brown led the Rams with 20.

Discovery 57, Shiloh 56: Discovery built a 16-11 lead after the first quarter and brought a 47-45 lead into a low-scoring final frame. London Riley (12), Ian Hardy (11), Hasahnn Reynolds (10) and Jaden Walker each finished in double-figures for Discovery and Kendall Lewis posted a game-high 20 points to pace Shiloh.

Tift County 58, Wheeler 56: No. 2 seed Wheeler traveled south to take on Tift County in the first meeting between the programs since the Blue Devils scored their 63-49 win over Wheeler in the 2014 Class AAAAAA state finals. Wheeler enjoyed a 31-20 lead at the half, and took a 45-36 lead into the fourth quarter where Tift County used a 22-11 advantage to complete the comeback and advance to the Elite 8.

Girls

Valdosta 67, Bradwell Institute 66 (OT): Valdosta needed a 7-6 run in overtime to advance. Both teams notched 17 points in the first quarter before Valdosta grabbed the lead with a 15-10 run in the second frame. The Wildcats added a 14-9 run in the third quarter but Bradwell forced the overtime with a 24-14 run in the fourth quarter.

Harrison 73, Dacula 62: Harrison took control of the game with a 21-12 run in the third quarter after trailing 27-25 at the break. The Hoyas kept control with a 27-23 effort in the final frame.

Creekview 55, Langston Hughes 47: Creekview enjoyed a 16-8 lead after the first quarter and pushed the lead to 27-16 at the break. The Grizzlies put together a 12-11 run in the third quarter and held on through a 20-16 run by Langston Hughes in the fourth quarter.

Northview 54, New Manchester 43: Northview took an 8-6 lead in the first quarter, but New Manchester took control of the lead with an 18-11 effort in the second quarter. The Titans took back the lead with a 16-2 run in the third quarter and a 19-17 run in the final frame to put the game away.

Boys

Heritage-Conyers 59, Houston County 51: Heritage gained a 14-11 lead at the end of the first quarter before the Bears found a rhythm in the second frame to take a 29-23 lead at the break. The Patriots recaptured the lead in the third quarter with a 17-6 run and held on for the win after putting together a 19-16 run in the fourth quarter.

Gainesville 99, Cambridge 88 (2OT): Rafael Rubel finished with 42 points to lead Gainesville over Cambridge in two overtimes. Makius Scott added 24 points. At the half, Gainesville enjoyed a 37-28 lead at the break and 53-51 after three quarters. Gainesville will face Tucker in the quarterfinals.

Brunswick 76, Coffee 74: Coffee trailed 16-14 after one quarter before the Trojans gained the lead with a 36-34 lead with a 22-18 run in the second quarter. Entering the final frame, Brunswick was nursing a 55-52 lead before its 22-point fourth quarter kept the Pirates at bay.

Tucker 65, Evans 63: Junior Braelon Seals hit a floating jump shot in the key with 10 seconds left to life the Tigers over Evans. As the seconds ticked off, Tucker crossed the half court line and passed the ball left and then rotated it to Seals just outside the right corner. Seals hesitated before driving down the right side of the lane and releasing the shot over a defender’s outstretched arm from just inside the free throw line.

Alexander 77, South Cobb 71: Alexander took a 21-17 lead after the first quarter and 39-34 lead at the break. The Cougars took control with a 14-9 run in the third quarter and held on through South Cobb’s 28-24 run in the final frame.

Girls

Buford 62, Carrollton 32: Buford control the game from the opening tip while taking a 12-5 lead after the first quarter and a 30-13 lead at the break. The Wolves pushed the lead with a 23-10 run in the third quarter before the two teams each added nine points in the final frame.

Eagle’s Landing 41, Starr’s Mill 38: The Eagles enjoyed a 12-9 lead after the first quarter and a 22-20 lead at the break. Eagle’s Landing pushed the lead with an 8-7 run in the third quarter and held on in the final frame as it matched Starr’s Mill’s 11 points in the final frame.

Villa Rica 60, Arabia Mountain 52: Villa Rica won the tightly-contested first quarter 19-18 and pushed the lead to 33-27 at the break. The Rams cut into the lead with a 10-8 run in the third quarter but Villa Rica secured the win with a 19-15 effort in the final frame.

Boys

Warner Robins 52, Starr’s Mill 39: Warner Robins put the game away with a 21-12 effort in the final frame. The Demons led 14-10 after the first quarter and the game was tied at 22 at the break. Warner Robins held Starr’s Mill to just five points in the third quarter while adding nine points before pulling away in the final frame.

Buford 64, Villa Rica 38: Buford controlled each quarter and pulled away with an 18-10 run in the final frame. The Wolves led 19-10 after the first quarter and 28-14 at the break before outscoring the Wildcats 36-14 in the second half to put the game away.

Dutchtown 51, Wayne County 50: Dutchtown outscored Wayne 22-11 in the final frame to overcome a deficit and seal the win. The Bulldogs led 10-9 after one quarter but Wayne County responded and gained a 21-18 lead at the break. The Yellow Jackets pushed the lead to 39-29 entering the fourth quarter before the Bulldogs’ run.

Kell 77, Cedar Shoals 62: Kell took a 12-6 lead after the first quarter and pushed the lead with a 20-14 run in the second quarter to lead 32-20 at the break. Cedar Shoals found a rhythm and added 20 points in the third quarter, but the Longhorns added 23 points. Kell matched each of the Jaguars 22 points in the fourth quarter to keep the game out of reach.

Girls

Marist 51, Madison County 44: Marist and Madison County went into the fourth quarter tied 34-34. Marist did not pull away until the final minute—taking a 47-42 lead with 33 seconds to go.

Sandy Creek 65, Northwest Whitfield 61: Sandy Creek went down 16-2 to open the game, but answered with a 32-11 run and led 34-27 at the half.

Henry County 65, Burke County 56: Henry County and Burke County ended the first quarter tied 12-12, but the Warhawks outscored the Bears 18-8 in the second to build a 30-20 lead at the break. Burke County cut the deficit to single digits 44-35 before an even 21-21 final frame marked the tally.

Carver-Columbus 76, Cross Creek 36: Undefeated Carver-Columbus dominated the first half 41-15 and took a 62-24 lead into the final quarter before running out their 29th straight victory.

Heritage-Catoosa 53, Oconee County 42: Heritage-Catoosa built a 24-16 halftime lead and took a 34-27 lead into the final quarter. Emily Wiley finished with a game-high 24 points and Ansley Bice scored 21 as the senior duo accounted for 45 of the Generals 53 points. Sydney St. John (4), Haley Phillips (3) and Gracie Murray (1) also added points.

Flowery Branch 67, St. Pius 19: Top-seed Flowery Branch demolished No. 2 seed St. Pius to advance to the quarterfinals. Caroline Wysocki finished with a game-high 22 points, single-handedly surpassing St. Pius’ total points in the game. The Falcons led 23-5 after the opening quarter, 35-12 at the half and took a 57-16 lead into the final frame. Ashlee Locke finished with 17 points and Ashley Woodroffe hit double-figures with 11 points.

Spalding 61, Hardaway 27: Defending state champion Spalding showcased its championship defense in a convincing 34-point victory over visiting Hardaway. The Jags led 20-3 at the end of the first quarter, but were outscored in the second frame and led just 26-12 at the half. Spalding opened the second half on a 28-5 run that grew the lead to 44-17 with just eight minutes left, and ultimately outscored the Hawks 35-15 in the second half.

Luella 62, Baldwin 60 OT: Luella trailed 32-20 at the half and 39-31 entering the fourth quarter before completing its come-from-behind, overtime victory over top-seeded Baldwin. The Braves led 49-44 with just over three minutes left in regulation, but Luella grabbed a brief 51-49 lead before the teams went into overtime tied 51-51. Baldwin held a 60-58 lead with 28 seconds left in the game, but two quick buckets by the Lions turned it into a 62-60 lead with 10 seconds left on the clock.

Boys

Americus-Sumter 59, Upson-Lee 53: Americus-Sumter trailed Upson-Lee by double-digit points on three separate occasions during the game, but went up 56-53 with 1:41 left and didn’t look back. 6-foot-8 forward Joshua Lusane finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Panthers.

St. Pius 63, Marist 50: St. Pius opened the game on a 10-0 run and was able to hold off second-half push by the visiting War Eagles to return to the Elite 8. The Golden Lions took a 34-24 lead at the half and a 54-41 lead into the final frame. Marist was able to make it a 56-50 game before the Golden Lions closed out the game with five unanswered points.

Sandy Creek 69, Blessed Trinity 53: Sandy Creek took a 49-39 lead into the final quarter, but Blessed Trinity made it 51-48 with 3:21 left before the Patriots closed out an 18-5 run. T.J. Bickerstaff led Sandy Creek with 27 points, four rebounds, five assists and five steals. Keith Williams (14) and Julian Anderson (13) also finished in double-figures. Sandy Creek will face Thomson next, which defeated Dougherty 73-65 Thursday night.

Woodward Academy 71, Cross Creek 68: Tied 68-68 with 2.9 seconds left, Woodward Academy sophomore Logan Stephens was sent to the foul line where he would net all three attempts to provide the winning margin.

Denmark 63, Stephens County 58 OT: First-year program Denmark outscored Stephens County 9-4 in overtime after being tied with the Indians 41-41 at the end of the third quarter and 24-24 at the half. Denmark went on a crucial 10-3 run before the half to even it up. Ze’Vian Capers paced the Danes with 16 points to go with his 12 rebounds and Sutton Smith also had 16 points. Denmark teammate Adonnis Eastson-Tolbert finished with 15 points and 12 boards to notch a double-double.

Carver-Columbus 76, Howard 49: AJ Watts finished with a game-high 21 points and Jalen King notched 14 points to go with 12 rebounds for Carver-Columbus. Devin Flowers also added 11 points and Ke’von Taylor netted nine points to go with his game-high 12 assists.

Cartersville 83, West Hall 55: Cartersville took a 57-37 lead into the fourth quarter before closing out its dominant home win over the Spartans. Nine different Cartersville players scored points in the winning effort. Isaac Gridley led the way with 24, Perignon Dyer added 19 and Micah Tart finished with 11 points.

Girls

Tattnall County 57, Peach County 42: The Warriors held Peach County to just 16 points in the first half while adding 37 to apply pressure. The Trojans cut into the lead with a 19-10 run in the third quarter but Tattnall answered with a 10-7 effort in the final frame to seal the win.

Jefferson 84, Greater Atlanta Christian 68: GAC led 19-14 after the first quarter before Jefferson round its rhythm. It took control with a 17-12 run in the second quarter and then took full control with a 23-9 effort in the third quarter. The Dragons secured the victory with a 30-28 run in the final frame.

Sonoraville 62, Pace Academy 46: Sonoraville took a 12-8 lead after the first quarter and held on through the Knights’ 14-13 effort before half. The Phoenix put together a 12-10 run in the third quarter before taking control of the game with a 25-14 effort in the final frame.

Hart County 73, North Hall 66: Hart County entered the final frame up 50-38 and held on through the Trojan’s 28-23 run in the final frame. Hart gained the lead with an 11-10 run in the first quarter and pushed the lead with a 19-10 run before the break.

Johnson-Savannah 66, Morgan County 44: The Atomsmashers controlled all aspects of the game and led 22-14 after the first quarter and 39-23 at the break. Johnson pushed the lead with a 15-6 effort in the third quarter before holding on through the Bulldogs’ 15-12 run in the fourth quarter.

Boys

Johnson-Savannah 47, Crisp County 44: After each scoring 13 points in the first frame, Johnson-Savannah gained the lead with a 16-8 effort in the second quarter. Crisp responded with an 18-14 run in the third quarter and a 5-4 run in the final frame, but time ran out.

Windsor Forest 67, Westside-Macon 53: Windsor Forest held the Seminoles to just one point in the first quarter while it added 11. Westside found a rhythm in the second quarter, adding 14 points, but the Knights enjoyed a 23-15 lead at the break. Windsor Forest pieced together a 23-14 run in the third quarter before Westside made a 23-21 run in the final frame despite the game being out of reach.

Cedar Grove 68, Calhoun 51: Cedar Grove enjoyed a 17-11 lead after the first quarter and expanded the lead with a 15-8 effort before halftime. Calhoun could not find an answer for the Saints after the break despite finding offensive production. Cedar Grove matched Calhoun 19-18 and secured the victory with a 17-14 effort in the fourth quarter.

Girls

Early County 62, Woodville-Tompkins 41: Sophomore Makayla Timpson scored 23 points while junior Ta’Ziaya Jones put up 21 to give Early County a commanding win over Woodville-Tomkins. The Bobcats now advance to face off against Rabun County following their win over Chattooga.

Rabun County 82, Chattooga 40: The Rabun County Wildcats outscored Chattooga 53-22 in the first half en route to their second-round victory. They now await their elite eight game against Early County after their win over Woodville-Tompkins.

Josey 65, Dodge County 60: The Josey Eagles upset Dodge County on the road to advance to the elite eight. There, the Eagles will take on Model following its win over Lamar County.

Laney 72, Swainsboro 55: A 24-point first quarter gave Laney an early lead over Swainsboro, and a strong defensive second quarter from the Wildcats held the Swainsboro offense to just 9 points. Laney now advances to the elite eight where they’ll face off against Rockmart following their win over Elbert County.

Rockmart 63, Elbert County 55: After being down by three after the first quarter, the Rockmart Yellowjackets held the Elbert County offense to just 6 points in the second while putting up 20 to claim a lead they would not give up for the remainder of the game. Rockmart will take on Laney in the elite eight.

Fitzgerald 76, Bryan County 66: The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricanes were down 23-17 after the first, but outscored the Redskins 59-43 through the remainder of the game to take home the second-round win. Fitzgerald now advances where they’ll be paired against Douglass.

Boys

Woodville-Tompkins 86, Thomasville 54: The Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines soundly defeated Thomasville to advance onto the elite eight where they’ll face off against Elbert County coming off of a 59-36 victory over Rockmart.

Elbert County 59, Rockmart 36: Elbert County was up 24-21 after the second quarter but come out strong after the half by holding the Rockmart offense to 15 points for the remainder of the game to claim the second-round win. The Blue Devils now advance to face off against Woodville-Tomkins in the elite eight.

Laney 60, Washington County 56: With 2:16 left in the third, Washington County found themselves ahead 39-32, but a late spark but Laney put the Wildcats on top 40-39 heading into the fourth. Washington County would keep the game close but would fail to retake the lead by the final whistle. Laney now advances into the elite eight where the Wildcats will take on Callaway following their second-round win over Chattooga.

Callaway 71, Chattooga 59: Callaway was down 25-23 with just over 2 minutes remaining in the first half, but outscored Chattooga 39-30 in the second half to seal the deal on the second-round win. The Cavaliers will advance to the elite eight to take on Laney after a 60-56 win over Washington County.

Therrell 68, Bremen 48: At the half, Therrell found themselves up 26-24 against Bremen. The Panthers defense came out strong after the half, holding the Bremen offense to just two points in the third quarter while putting up 21. Therrell now advances to the elite eight where the Panthers will go up against the winner of the Hephzibah vs. Northeast Macon game.

South Atlanta 81, Spencer 71: Ja’Quavion Florence nailed a buzzer beater to end the first half and give South Atlanta a strong 45-28 lead over Spencer. The Green Waves managed to spark their offense after being down by nearly 20 points in the fourth, but their spurt wasn’t enough to claim the win. South Atlanta will advance to the elite eight where they’ll be matched up against the winner of the Vidalia vs. Early County game.

Girls

ELCA 59, Paideia 49: Junior Weronkia Hipp led the Lady Chargers with 17 points to help fuel the second-round victory over Paideia. Sophomore Keslynn also put up 17 while senior India Bellamy scored 11. ELCA will advance into the elite eight where the Chargers will take on St. Francis following their 81-49 win over Christian Heritage in the second round.

Lakeview Academy 58, Darlington 36: At the half, Lakeview Academy found themselves up 28-16 over Darlington. The Lions continued to pile on the points to claim the second-round win and advance to the elite eight. There, Lakeview Academy will take on Wesleyan following the Wolves crushing 75-23 win over Savannah Christian.

Mt. Paran 53, Athens Academy 52: Athens Academy outscored Mt. Paran by one point in the fourth, which proved to not be enough to overcome the point deficit they had heading into the final quarter of the game. The Eagles will now take on Holy Innocents in the elite eight following the Golden Bears commanding 76-35 victory over Greenforest.

Calvary Day 68, Tallulah Falls 45: The Cavaliers outscored Tallulah Falls 34-18 in the first half en route to their second-round victory. Calvary Day advances to the elite eight where they’ll face off against Stratford Academy, who is coming off of a close 43-40 win over Prince Avenue.

St. Francis 81, Christian Heritage 49: The St. Francis Knights soundly defeated Christian Heritage to advance to the elite eight. There, they’ll be going up against the winner of the Paideia vs. ELCA game.

Wesleyan 75, Savannah Christian 23: Wesleyan rolled over Savannah Christian on their way to the elite eight. Leading the Wolves offense was AC Carter who scored 22 points and snagged 7 rebounds while Nicole Azar scored 13 points. Wesleyan advances to the elite eight where the Wolves will take on the winner of the Darlington vs. Lakeview Academy game.

Boys

Savannah Country Day 43, Athens Academy 42: Savannah Country Day’s Caleb Magoola drained the go-ahead layup with under 17 seconds left in the game to propel the Hornets into the elite eight. There, Savannah Country Day will face off against St. Francis following the Knights 67-39 victory over Pinecrest Academy.

Mt. Bethel 72, Holy Innocents’ 53: Senior Coleman Boyd led the Mt. Bethel offense with 18 points and 7 assists en route to the Eagles second-round win over Holy Innocents’ while junior Jordan Meka scored 13. Mt. Bethel will now advance into the elite eight where they’ll be paired against the Greenforest Eagles following their 75-58 victory over Hebron Christian.

ELCA 69, Mt. Pisgah 59: The ELCA Chargers held a 33-20 lead at the half and continued to play hard ball to maintain the lead and claim the second-round win over Mt. Pisgah. The Chargers will advance to the elite eight where they’ll go head-to-head against Riverside Military following their close 64-63 victory over Walker.

Christian Heritage 58, Wesleyan 45: The Lions were only up 22-20 at the half over Wesleyan, but finished the game strong to claim the second-round win over the Wolves. Christian Heritage will advance to the elite eight where they’ll be met by North Cobb Christian following an 80-73 victory over Lakeview Academy. The two teams met twice during the regular season, splitting the series 1-1.

Girls

Calhoun County 52, Towns County 31: Calhoun County bested Towns County to earn the Cougars an elite eight berth where they’ll be paired against Bowdon following a 76-67 second-round victory over Wilcox County.

Clinch County 60, Mitchell County 51: After being down 21-14 at the end of the first quarter, the Clinch County girls went on to defeat Mitchell County to give the Panthers their first elite eight appearance since 1996. There, Clinch County will look to further advance by taking on Greenville following their victory over Pelham.

Wheeler County 68, Dooly County 46: Wheeler County went up early on Dooly County with a score of 21-12 in the first, and held the Bobcats’ offense to just 3 points in the fourth to take home the second-round win. Wheeler County will advance to the elite eight where the Bulldogs will face off against Marion County following their win over Emanuel County Institute where the Eagles outscored ECI 41-24 in the first half en route to their victory.

Telfair County 52, Turner County 42: Telfair County was up 37-33 heading into the fourth quarter and held the Turner County offense to just 9 points to seal the deal on their second-round win. The Trojans now advance to the elite eight where they’ll go head to head against Central-Talbotton following their 61-58 win over Georgia Military.

Pelham 64, Terrell County 46: Pelham soundly defeated Terrell County to keep the Hornets season alive and advance onto the elite eight. There, Pelham will be matched up against the Calhoun County Cougars, who are coming off of an 81-54 second-round victory over Drew Charter.

Wilkinson County 74, Clinch County 51: Clinch County went up early 9-4, but the Wilkinson County offense turned it on and created a point deficit that the Panthers were unable to overcome. Wilkinson County now advances to the elite eight where the Warriors will face Marion County following their 78-72 win over Chattahoochee County.

Treutlen 88, Dooly County 63: The Treutlen Wikings had no trouble besting second-round opponent Dooly County en route to an elite eight appearance. There Treutlen will be paired up against Hancock Central after the Bulldogs beat Montgomery County 72-50 in the second round.

Marion County 78, Chattahoochee County 72: Marion County went up 16-14 over Chattahoochee County to end the first, and held on strong to claim a close second-round win to push through to the elite eight. There, the Eagles will be matched up against the winner of the Clinch County vs. Wilkinson County game.

Irwin County 80, Greene County 72: Irwin County led 36-31 at the half, and outpaced Greene County after the game got tight in the early minutes of the fourth quarter. Javon Stanley scored 11 of his 18 points in the final frame and netted seven of his 10 free throw attempts in the quarter. Garland Binyard contributed 15 points and Jamorri Colson led Irwin County with his game-high 32 points. Greene County’s Danahj Wright (20), Jae’quon Robbins (19) and C’darius Kelley (15) each finished in double-figures for the Tigers.
