The football team has been playing great football as of late and is looking to make its second consecutive playoff appearance. On Oct. 24, the Yellow Jackets defeated South Paulding 35-15 for their fifth consecutive win of the year. They were able to do it with a strong running attack, as they racked up 282 yards. David Carter had 191 of those yards with three touchdowns in the win. On Friday, they won their sixth straight game as they defeated Hiram 35-10. They are 5-0 in Region 5-AAAA play, and with a win on Friday they will be a No. 1 seed going into the playoffs on Nov. 14. … The volleyball team turned things around after making an early exit in the state tournament last year. The Yellow Jackets reached the state semifinals, but fell to a great Marist team in four games. The War Eagles won the first game and the Lady Yellow Jackets were able to take the second, but it was all Marist after that. Haley Winston led Sprayberry with nine kills, four aces and 1.5 blocks.
