The Norcross baseball team is looking to make a move down the stretch with an eye on the postseason. The Blue Devils entered an important region game last night with an 11-6 record after taking out Northview on Tuesday. Duluth was able to silence the Norcross bats in a 6-0 victory. Jonathan Wyman’s Blue Devils still have seven region games left to try and rally back into a position to make a long postseason run.
Sonic and Score were on hand before Wednesday’s game at the beautiful Norcross High School stadium to recognize one special for his recent efforts on the diamond. Griffin Helms was recognized as the Sonic High School Player of the Week. Helms serves as the leadoff hitter for Norcross, constantly setting the table for the big bats behind him in the order.
Congratulations to Griffin. Sonic is a proud supporter of Georgia high school sports and will be on hand at Rockdale County this Friday, handing out an award for boys soccer.
