The softball and volleyball seasons continued Saturday and in a matchup between two storied programs in the Hawk Invitational at Mill Creek, Class AAAAAA Buford defeated Class AAAA Heritage-Catoosa 11-6.
Senior Abbi Perkins was 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a double with three RBIs and two runs. Freshmen Mackenzie and Madison Pickens had a large night for Buford. Mackenzie was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs. Madison was 2-for-3 with a 2-run home run, a double, two RBIs and two runs.
Buford improved to 4-2 and 1-0 in 8-AAAAAA and will host Winder-Barrow on Monday. 4
