After a week off, the No. 6-ranked football team traveled south to face Warner Robins seeking the team’s second win. Running backs Ean Pemberton and Harrell Gunn stepped up in the 30-0 win. The Rams scored 16 points in the first quarter (13 off turnovers) and Pemberton rushed for two touchdowns and close to 200 yards while Gunn had 106 yards, including a 45-yard touchdown scamper. Fullback James Earl Jones also reached paydirt for the Rams in the team’s big win. The team will square off against Dacula on Friday at 7:30 p.m., and it will be “Youth Night” at Grayson. … The softball team’s recent skid hit four games with a 4-1 loss to Union Grove. The team was done in by fielding errors as pitcher Ashley Chabut only allowed three hits but three unearned runs would cross on her watch. Casey Payne had the lone RBI for the Rams while Ashley Berger and Lauren Moore tallied hits for the Rams. The team was 3-2 before the recent rough patch. Grayson hosts South Gwinnett on Thursday at 7 p.m.
