Roswell’s Xavier McKinney took the opening kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown to give the Hornets an early 7-0 edge. Buford’s Derrian Brown answered with a 9-yard touchdown run to close the first quarter, but those would prove to be the Wolves’ only points. Jayden Comma reclaimed the Roswell lead with 6:44 left in the second quarter off of a 24-yard touchdown grab from Malik Willis. Senior running back Sheldon Evans put Roswell up 21-7 with a 13-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Turner Barkhoff connected on a 43-yard field goal with 2:38 left in the third. Roswell outgained Buford 322-to-203 in total yardage despite losing time of possession 26:31 to 21:29. Evans led Roswell on the ground with 119 yards off of 21 carries, including his 13-yard touchdown.
