Red Devils secure consecutive victories for second time this decade

The football team won its second consecutive game with a 35-13 win over Therrell. The Red Devils now sit at 2-1 overall and 1-0 in Region 5-AAA play. The team last notched back-to-back victories in 2000, and will shoot for its third consecutive win on Friday against McNair at 7:30 p.m. at Panthersville Stadium. … Nabil Hamid took home a first-place finish at the Altitude Running Invitational with a time of 17:44 . Machop Ngor finished third with a time of 18:31 . But a lack of depth cost Druid Hills a first-place team finish, as they lost to St. Pius X by just eight points. The girls team finished fifth overall. Hannah Wichman paced the Red Devils, finishing ninth overall with a time of 23:57 . Allie Brown crossed the line in fourth with a time of 23:18 . … The softball team faces a busy week with Meadowcreek at home on Wednesday, another home matchup with Towers on Thursday, and McNair on Tuesday.
