Four-star wide receiver Debron Gatling announces his recruitment is open, per his Twitter. Gatling has been committed to Texas A&M since December 11th 2022. Although his recruitment is open, he remains committed to Texas A&M. It will be an interesting storyline to follow as Mike Elko was named the new head coach on November 27th after the Aggies fired Jimbo Fisher.
The electric playmaker for the Milton Eagles has 892 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2023. He leads the Eagles with 77 receptions and has scored a touchdown in seven of the 14 games played this season. Since taking over as a starter in 2021, Gatling has had two seasons where he has caught 10+ touchdowns in his high school career including his sophomore and senior seasons. He has been a great deep ball threat for Milton possesses the physicality to win the go ball and is a great red-zone threat. His best game came against region foe West Forsyth after he had nine catches for 155 yards and three touchdowns.
Gatling was named a MaxPreps Sophomore All-American after posting 659 yards and 11 touchdowns. He holds offers from South Carolina, Alabama, Florida State, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech and more. He will be playing for a state championship against Walton on December 13th in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
