The GHSA swimming and diving season has a new-look to it after the latest reclassification cycle and the teams which won titles last season, might very well face another sitting state champion in the upcoming swimming and diving championships.
The teams began in early October and will meet for the GHSA Swimming and Diving State Championships at Westminster from February 4-8. Programs won championships in Classes 7A, 6A, 4A-5A and 1A-3A last season while this year, the sport has consolidated into Classes 6A, 5A, 4A and 1A-3A.
The boys state champions are Walton (7A), Johns Creek (6A), Chattahoochee (4A-5A) and Wesleyan (1A-3A). Walton will compete in Class 6A this season while sitting champions Johns Creek (6A) and Chattahoochee (4A-5A) could compete for the Class 5A title.
