Raiders fall to No. 10 Bremen, prepare for Warriors

The football team was defeated 37-0 by No. 10 Bremen on Friday night. The Raiders fell to 1-2 on the season after the loss. The team returns home Friday night for a clash with rival North Atlanta. The Warriors sport a 3-1 record and are coming off a 55-0 drubbing of Therrell. It will be the first Region 5B-AAA game for the Raiders. … The softball team competed in the Oconee County Tournament during the weekend of Sept. 12-13. The Lady Raiders won two and lost four during the tournament. Riverwood returned home for games on Wednesday and Thursday against Northview and Washington, respectively. The Lady Raiders fell to Northview 4-1 before trouncing Washington 21-0. The team is back in action on Wednesday against Holy Innocents before hosting Grady on Thursday. … The volleyball team has won three matches in a row, defeating Grady, Centennial and Mt. Pisgah last week. The Lady Raiders will try to defend their home turf against North Springs and Dunwoody on Thursday.
