Raiders come back against Milton, handle Centennial to remain undefeated

The Raiders are 7-0 and have virtually locked up another football playoff spot as well as another Region 6-AAAAA title. On Oct. 10, they faced Milton and it was a game where they had to come back and win 24-20. On Friday they had an easier time taking care of Centennial, winning 42-21. Once again it was the trio of Michael Boydston, Price Garrett and Ray Rayburn leading the attack. Boydston had 228 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Garrett had 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Rayburn had 192 passing yards and two touchdown passes. They will look to have a bigger impact when they go to Lassiter on Friday. … The softball team lost to Cherokee in the first round of the state sectionals and then saw its season come to an end against Brookwood in the first round of the consolation bracket. … The volleyball team defeated Cherokee in the opening round of the Area 1-AAAAA tournament but fell to Lassiter in the next round in two games. The Lady Raiders then lost to Kell on Saturday to end their season.
