On Friday night, the football team hosted the West Forsyth Wolverines in the first-ever varsity contest between the two schools. In a back-and-forth game that saw ties at 7-7 and 14-14, West Forsyth scored the only touchdowns of the second half and downed North Forsyth 21-14. The Raiders will hit the road this week to face Johnsonville High School for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. … The volleyball team has started the 2008 season 8-3 with a third-place finish in the Forsyth County Tournament. The team took on Pickens this past Tuesday but results were not available at press time. The team will now head to Brookwood for a three-way meeting with the Broncos and Greater Atlanta Christian on Thursday with matches starting at 5 p.m. … The cross-country team is looking forward to participating in the Clara Bowl on Saturday. The girls will start at 9:30 a.m. and the boys will start at 10:15. … The softball team participated in the Softball in the Sand tournament this past weekend in Brunswick. Results were not available at press time.
