This week, the GHSA traditional championships will take place in Macon. Camden County moved up to No. 2 in Class AAAAAA after qualifying 11 wrestlers, just behind No. 1 Archer’s 14. No. 3 Collins Hill qualified eight while No. 4 North Gwinnett and No. 7 Brookwood each advanced seven to Macon.
Class AAAAA No. 1 Pope advanced a program-record 13 to Macon next week while Class AAA No. 1 Banks County qualified eight. Class AAA No. 3 Oconee County will enter the traditional championships with four individual sectional champions.
In Class AA, Jefferson qualified 12 wrestlers for individual titles with eight sectional winners over the weekend. No. 6 GAC will have six wrestlers competing for individual championships.
Finally, Class A No. 1 Gordon Lee will have a shot at the program’s first traditional title with 13 wrestlers competing in Macon.
