Player of the Week, Sept. 3 – Abbey Meixel, Cherokee

The Kennesaw State-bound senior is one of the top pitchers in the state, as she showed last week against Harrison. Meixel struck out 16 Hoyas on her way to a complete-game shutout, following up her 17-strikeout performance against Sequoyah in the previous game, a 4-2 win. Meixel is currently tied for the school record in career wins (44).
