Player of the Week, November 5 – Mariah Woodson, Woodward Academy

The War Eagles won the Class 3A volleyball state title due in large part to the efforts of this senior outside hitter. Woodson had nine kills in the title match, and finished the season with 320 kills. She was named to the 2008 All-Area 4-AAA first team and the statewide GACA All-Star team. Before the season, Woodson was also named the 76th-best prospect in the nation by Prepvolleyball.com.
