PANTHER BEAT: Baseball returns home; two golfers receive conference honors

After scoring all those runs in New Mexico, the Panther baseball team returned home to face Kennesaw State at their place. The Panthers held a 2-1 lead but in the bottom of the ninth inning the Owls took advantage of a couple of Panther errors and scored twice to earn the 3-2 win.

Said head coach Greg Frady, "I am so disappointed to waste an outing like that. We are not always going to score at will. If you are a good team, you need to figure out how to score and we did not do that tonight."

Highlighting the offense are seven Panthers who are all batting at least .400 this season and are led by last week’s CAA Baseball Player of the Week,
Joey Wood (.523). Bradley Logan leads the team with six home runs and 26 RBIs, while junior Mark Micowski leads the team with 30 runs scored
for a team averaging 13.4 runs per game.

The Panthers will take on Alabama State at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, followed by a Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. re-match with Kennesaw State. The game against the Owls will air live on WRAS-FM 88.5.
