Offense scores twice, but Pirates fall to 0-3 with loss to Miller Grove

With an 0-2 record, the football team looked to get its first win last Friday in a matchup with Miller Grove. The two Region 6B-AAAA teams had much to play for, with the Pirates falling yet again by a score of 34-12. On the positive side of things, the Pirates did manage to score two impressive touchdowns, though they followed both with missed extra-point attempts. Though the football team currently sits at 0-3, its offense has shown some signs of improvement over the last two weeks. Head coach Charles Reeves has already moved on from the loss, however, as he and his team prepare to hit the road for a 7:30 p.m. contest this Friday against Region 6B-AAAA’s Forsyth Central. … The volleyball team was defeated 2-0 last Tuesday, as Forsyth Central cruised in both games, 25-12 and 25-15. The Pirates will have another chance to get things going next Tuesday when they travel to Chamblee. … The softball team has a Wednesday date with Forsyth Central and is back in action on Thursday when it takes on North Springs.
