Offense puts together best performance of season in loss to Tenn. high school

If the football team has hopes of making the playoffs for the 14th consecutive season, the defense will have to learn to stop opposing offenses once region play begins in two weeks. Last Friday, G.A.C lost to Baylor ( Tenn. ), 44-22. The defense has allowed more points with every passing week after only allowing 17 points to Hart County in the opener. This week, unlike the previous two, quarterback Colton Chapple was able to lead more efficient and effective drives on offense. Head coach Ken Robinson will have to wait an extra week in his pursuit of win No. 1 with G.A.C, as the Spartans have this week off before the team opens region play by hosting Westminster next Friday. … It was another .500 week in region play for the softball team, as it erupted offensively over Decatur , following a nail-biting loss to Buford. The 10-2 victory over Decatur was the most impressive win of the week, as the Bulldogs came into the game with only one loss, having allowed more than three runs in a game only twice this year.
