It took a couple of games into his record-breaking senior season for top programs to finally start pursuing the talented 6-foot-4, 210-pound receiver. In the season opener at the Metro PCS Corky Kell Classic, Nate Brown caught four passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns as the Bulldogs stomped Camden County 34-14. Brown was matched up with the Wildcats’ talented secondary, which includes Auburn-commit Kalvaraz Bessent and Alabama-commit Chris Williams. Two weeks later in the region 7-AAAAAAopener, North Gwinnett faced Norcross, and Brown had his best game of the season with 10 catches for 172 yards and four touchdowns. Four days later, Brown was committed to Missouri and was the hottest receiving prospect in the southeast.

North Gwinnett sparked miraculous comebacks throughout the season and needed a big game from Brown in its region matchup with Mill Creek. Brown hauled in eight catches for 146 yards and tallied his second four-touchdown performance of the season as the Bulldogs rallied for a 50-47 win. North Gwinnett’s passing attack was clicking on all cylinders and Brown was the primary target. At the collegiate level, Brown will fit right into Missouri’s offensive scheme with his tremendous size, physicality and ability to catch the deep ball. Brown has the frame, strength and hands to be a go-to receiver in college and he could see the field right away this upcoming season. During the last few months, UGA and many other schools have been trying to convince Brown to change his mind but it looks like they will have to spend time trying to stop him from finding the endzone instead.
