We are counting down to National Signing Day 2014 by putting the spotlight on 25 of Metro Atlanta’s top prospects as they choose their college destinations. These athletes will be recognized for their outstanding varsity careers throughout Score Atlanta’s record breaking coverage of the Peach State’s signees. #NSDFrenzy
Kevin Mouhon is a 6-foot-1, 225-pound four-star linebacker that led the Norcross defense in tackles as the Blue Devils claimed their second straight Class AAAAAA state championship this season. Mouhon was named the Class AAAAAA Defensive Player of the Year by the Gwinnett Daily Post for his 200 combined tackles, 26 tackles for loss and 3 1/2 sacks, two fumble recoveries and seven pass break-ups.
Mouhon will be in the spotlight on National Signing Day after he announced his decommittent from the University of Tennessee on Jan. 23. Mouhon holds offers from more than 30 schools. It remains a mystery as to where the hard-hitting, state champion linebacker will commit, but wherever Mouhon desides will provide that program with a reliable presence at linebacker. Mouhon is a beast on the football field and his bonecrushing tackling energizes and brings a swagger to the defensive side of the football.
