The GHSA 2012-13 basketball championships were decided in Macon over the weekend with seven boys program’s hoisting title trophies over a wild three days. In Class AAAAAA, Norcross beat out Hillgrove by using its amazing athleticism to defensively choke out the Hawks. Jesse McMillan’s Norcross Blue Devils program won its second title in three years and could challenge for a title once again next season. North Cobb finished the year No. 3 after falling to Norcross in the semifinals just days after beating No. 5 Tift County in the quarterfinals.
In Class AAAAA, Miller Grove goes wire-to-wire in the Score Atlanta rankings after claiming a fifth-straight title. No. 2 Gainesville rallied from a poor start to make the championship game and give the Wolverines a serious scare before falling short. Tucker finished the year No. 6.
