Collins Hill (Ga.) 53, North Gwinnett (Ga.) 28: Host Collins Hill jumped on the previously unbeaten Bulldogs early and took a 10-0 lead after a field goal and 26-yard Tyler Herman touchdown pass to Quentin Jones. Herman completed 20 of 35 yards passing for 239 yards and three touchdowns. North Gwinnett wideout Caleb Scott got the Bulldogs on the board with a 3-yard touchdown grab. Scott finished with 12 receptions for 187 yards.
Collins Hill running back Tyler Henderson added balance to the Eagles offense with 111 yards on 22 carries and a pair of rushing touchdowns. Herman continued finding holes in the North Gwinnett defense and connected with Rhyan England for a 49-yard touchdown. North Gwinnett wideout Nate Brown scored an 80-yard touchdown, but the Eagles continued adding points on the board and another Jones touchdown and two fourth quarter touchdowns helped the Eagles’ run away with the win.
Manatee (Fla.) 28, University-Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) 24: Visiting University went up early as Sean White found Jordan Scarlett for a 91-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the game. White’s 21-yard touchdown pass to Jarius Brown late in the first quarter gave the Suns a 21-0 lead. The teams went scoreless in the second quarter, and Manatee continued to stifle White and the Suns’ offense in the second half. Miramar outscored outscored them 21-3, and handed Unversity it’s first loss of the season.
Northwestern (S.C.) 45, York (S.C.) 15: After going down 8-7 early, Northwestern’s offense went off and outscored York 38-7. Mason Randolph led the way with two rushing touchdowns to go along with a passing touchdown to Dupree Hart. Northwestern remains undefeated and will head on the road to Rock Hill for the penultimate game of the regular season.
Pelham (Ala.) 27, Spain Park (Ala.) 24: Otis Harris did his best to keep his visiting Spain Park squad undefeated, but ultimately it was for naught. Harris had a kickoff return for a touchdown to make it 17-14 and scored again to give his team the lead 24-14 at halftime. Pelham went on to score 13 unanswered points including a field goal as time expired to pull off the upset.
South Panola (Miss.) 29, Southaven (Miss.) 6: Visiting South Panola took a 13-0 lead into halftime with a 70-yard Darrell Henderson touchdown run and a Rip Kirk touchdown pass. Oluwain Hoskins opened the second half with a 65-yard touchdown run and added a 52-yard rushing score minutes later to extend the lead to 27-0. Shea Chism threw a 9-yard touchdown to Terence Davis Jr. to get Southaven on the board and the Tigers defense added a fourth quarter safety.
