McIntosh’s Riley LeMessurier is making quite a name for herself on the pitch. McIntosh is off to a 10-2 start and currently has a top 10 ranking in the Score Atlanta poll in Division 2. McIntosh also currently has a 4-0 region record (pending game against Bremen). She has been spectacular this season for the Lady Chiefs, leading them in points, goals, and assists. LeMessurier is averaging 3.6 goals and 3.8 assists per game this season.
Very rarely do you see a lacrosse player with a nearly equal amount of goals and assists but that is what she has done this season. LeMessuier leads Georgia with 82 points. She has 40 goals, which ranks top 10 in Georgia. She is also one of the best playmakers and leads the entire state with 42 assists. The next closest player more behind by double-digits. A thing that immediately catches your eye is how unselfish she is. Always looking to get the best opportunity for her team and not worrying about stats.
She had one of her best games of the season in a blowout 18-1 victory over Dutchtown finishing with a career-high eight goals and six assists. The most impressive stat is that she had a 100% shot percentage, meaning all eight goals she scored were all on target. LeMessurier has scored a goal in every game this season and is currently in one of the best stretches of her career. She has six consecutive games with three goals. During that stretch, the Lady Chiefs are 5-1. In the most recent win over Bremen, LeMessurier finished with four goals and six assists.
For club lacrosse, she runs with Eagle Stix Lacrosse, which is one of the best club programs in the country located in Milton, Georgia. Eagles Stix has put a number of girls into high-end D1 programs at the next level. A few examples include Anna Mellinger (Penn State), McKenna Merkel (UCONN), Blythe Noyes (Florida), Ella Pauley (Clemson), Jenna Lundstedt (USC), Rilynn Price (Liberty), Gabby Henery (Arizona State), and so many more. In the class of 2025 alone for signing day, Eagle Stix helped 26 girls reach their dreams and goals of playing at the next level.
In terms of recruiting, she is not ranked yet or has major offers, but she has been special this season, especially here in the peach state. Her ability to create offense makes her fun to watch on the pitch, whether she is scoring goals or setting up her teammates. LeMessurier plays with great pace and her ability to constantly put pressure on the defense makes her a special talent.
I don’t think it will be long before major colleges recruit her and want her to play at the next level. She already plays with one of the best developmental teams and clubs known for getting their players to the next stage. It is simply a matter of time before she becomes a household name. McIntosh has three games left in the regular season, and although Division 2 is loaded with contenders like Milton, Lassiter, Johns Creek, and Chattahoochee, LeMessurier and the Lady Chiefs have a good chance to make some noise during the postseason and a deep run in the playoffs.
