McEachern’s 26-6 victory against No. 2-ranked Lambert handed the Indians a program-first state championship and kept the program at the top of the Division 4 standings.
Led by Miss Georgia Flag Football, Chelsea Njoku, McEachern had little issues through the playoffs, beating Shiloh 28-0, Alpharetta 21-0, Central Gwinnett 26-13 and Grayson 32-0 to earn the championship berth. Lambert, Denmark, Central Gwinnett and Grayson fill the final Division 4 top 5.
Pope upended Pace Academy 19-6 in the Division 3 championship to defend last year’s Class 7A championship and finish atop of the league. Pace Academy, Lithia Springs, Milton and Blessed Trinity filled the Division 3 top 5.
In Division 2, Greenbrier defeated North Oconee 18-0, defending last year’s Class 5A-6A title. The Wolfpack topped the final rankings ahead of North Oconee, Jenkins, Evans and Calvary Day.
Southeast Bulloch won its fourth consecutive championship after defeating No. 2-ranked Columbus 13-6 in the Division 1 title game. The Yellow Jackets won the Class 1A-4A title in each of the past three seasons. Long County, Dodge County and Harris County filled the top 5.
