Mason passes for 384 yards but Trojans fall to Kell

The football team took on the Kell Longhorns last Friday and came into the game as one of the hottest teams in Cobb County, winning its last two games by scoring more than 30 points. This time, however, it was the Longhorns who started off hot, scoring 17 points in the first quarter and never looking back. Kell scored at least seven points in the next three quarters and went on to win 41-27. Quarterback Hutson Mason had a strong night for the Trojans with 384 yards passing and two touchdown passes. Tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen led all receivers with seven catches and 77 yards. The Trojans will look to bounce back when they face Campbell on Friday. … The softball team defeated Marietta last week 12-0 in the Warrior Classic. Jana Bryant and Brandi Donaldson scored twice and eight other players scored in the win. Lassiter will face Wheeler on Thursday. … The volleyball team has not lost a match this season and is currently 19-0 for the year. The team will look to keep the streak going against Westminster and McIntosh on Thursday.
