Jack Richerson continues to turn heads and is now on the national radar after being ranked by On3. According to On3, he is rated as the No. 48 player in Georgia and the No. 63 edge boasting an overall ranking of 88. On3 is the only platform that currently has Richerson ranked. He has now surpassed double-digit offers after adding a few more last week from notable programs like West Virginia and UNC Charlotte. He also has offers from Georgia Tech, Mercer, UAB, Duke, Indiana, Wake Forest, Memphis, and Western Kentucky. Expect more offers to come in the future as college teams pay him a visit during spring ball in May.
After a great conversation with @NYSEandeasy I am blessed to receive an offer to play football at West Virginia! #HailWV @RealCoachRod @ThayneBukowski @adamgorney @ErikRichardsUSA @BrandonHuffman @najehwilk pic.twitter.com/L8ZtDaQdoI

Richerson finished his junior campaign with 67 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, and 10 PBUS. He was named first-team all-region, first-team all-county, and all-state. He was a key piece on both sides of the ball for the Marist War Eagles who finished as a runner-up in the 4A state championship to North Oconee.
Richerson has great size with his 6’4 and 210-pound frame. When you roll his tape, you see a player with an explosive first step that is quick to get off the edge. He is very disciplined and doesn’t get fooled by reverses or the read option. At the same time, he is also a very instinctual player with a high IQ knowing where the play is going to go before it happens. You see this when he is unable to get there he gets his hands up and swats it away like a basketball staying in the sight line of the quarterback affecting his vision and where he wants to go.
In his film, he is constantly chasing down the quarterback and making plays in the backfield engulfing opposing players with his wiry, strong frame. I think the most impressive part is that he is doing it with sheer will and strength and dominating opposing offensive linemen. Imagine when he adds a few passing rushing moves to the repertoire he will be virtually unstoppable.
More people are taking notice of his talent with more notice and exposure happening. Richerson was highlighted by CBS Sports Analyst Tom Lemming in February. He was invited to the Military Appreciation Bowl at Ford Center in Frisco, Texas this upcoming December. He was also made second-team all-state by the Touchdown Club of Atlanta in December.
Richerson is also getting it done off the field with an impressive 4.0 GPA and aligning himself to be able to go to high-end schools when he eventually makes his decision. He also is a standout baseball player and is currently with the War Eagles a top-five team in the Score Atlanta poll. Richerson checks a lot of boxes for you and has a very high upside in both baseball and football. He will likely have to make a decision of which he will choose in the near future.
