Longhorns outscore rival Lassiter 41-27

The football team faced Region 6-AAAAA rival Lassiter last Friday. The Longhorns were on fire in the first quarter, as Justin Randolph scored on two rushing touchdowns. The Longhorns were able to keep the momentum going throughout the game, scoring no less than seven points in the next three quarters to go on to win 41-27. Randolph ended the night with 123 rushing yards and two touchdowns while quarterback Austin Petrik had a strong night, throwing the ball for 200 yards and two touchdowns. They will face Roswell this Friday. …The softball team defeated Pope on Thursday by a score of 2-0. Erin Jones had a strong night on the mound as she pitched a complete game shutout. The Lady Longhorns will take on Roswell this Thursday. … The volleyball team beat Hebron Christian, North Forsyth and Hart County last Thursday. Emily Barnhill led Kell with 16 kills and seven aces. The team also swept Centennial and North Cobb on Saturday before falling to Parkview in three games. This Saturday, the team will compete in the Cobb/Fulton Challenge.
