Prep QB Christian LeMay chose Georgia over several other major offers on Friday at a press conference at his school in Pineville, N.C. LeMay decided to name a "leader" over making the traditional commitment, as college prospects generally do.
"You can call me a commitment," LeMay told UGAsports.com. "Unless Coach (Mark) Richt) is gone or unless Coach (Mike Bobo) leaves I’m a Georgia Bulldog."
LeMay will enroll at UGA this January to begin competing for the starting QB position.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder chose the Dawgs over offers from programs like Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Tennessee.
LeMay becomes the seventh Bulldog commitment for the 2011 signing class.
