The Kennesaw State Department of Athletics is in the process of rebranding itself, and the KSU Convocation Center marks the official beginning of that process after the facility recently received a new look. The Convocation Center’s floor was resurfaced and brand new primary athletics mark was laid down at center court. The new center logo measures 33.5-feet by 23-feet. This is just the first of several athletics facilities that will see modifications with the new logo.
“We decided to sand and refinish the (KSU Convocation Center) floor as a start-off to our rebranding with the new logo and font,” said assistant AD Katie Egloff in a release. “I worked with CBA Flooring in Lawrenceville on a design that would showcase and highlight our new logo with input from our basketball and volleyball staffs.”
The project took three weeks to complete, according to the school. The new logo was just released June 12.
The new floor represents the second major change to the KSU Convocation Center since the end of the 2011-12 academic year, according to the university. Previously, a large Daktronics video board with sponsorship signage was added to the south end of the building and a ribbon board was added on the north side.
